The Dairy House
The Dairy House sleeps 6: it has 3 bedrooms, 2 spacious bathrooms, full central heating, with independently controlled radiators and a log-fire.
This cottage is thought to be the oldest of the Manor Farm buildings. Its impressive timbers may have come from oaks in Newtondale, or from ships broken up at Whitby. With the dramatic galleried sitting room and large fitted kitchen it is sunny, yet sheltered with massive oak beams and natural wood features throughout. Its thick walls make it warm and cosy in winter yet cool in summer.
Downstairs: ramped access to entrance hall. Sitting room with wood burning stove, a unique 17th century stone carved fireplace, large screen 30” colour TV, Stereo Radio /DVD and CD, comfortable sofa, rocking chair and suite. Fully equipped kitchen/dining room with fridge-freezer, electric cooker and microwave. Laundry room with washing machine, iron, tumbler drier and full drying facilities. Bathroom with power shower. Double bedroom and single bedroom.
Upstairs: this almost feels like a self contained flat with a spacious family bedroom with twin beds (that can convert to a double) and single bed, modern bathroom with bath and mixer shower and the impressive gallery landing.
Cot and high chair available, but please bring your own cot linen and bedding and harness for the high chair.
Open plan garden: largely down to grass, garden furniture available.
Pets: Pets are welcome by negotiation.
