Gateside

Gateside: sleeps 5 it has three bedrooms which are on the ground floor. Gas fired central heating and log burning stove. The long stone barn overlooking the village green dates probably from the eighteenth century. The southern portion has all the typical features of a North Yorkshire threshing barn.

The cottage has been arranged to make best use of the superb beams and roof timbers. This is why we are an upside down cottage.

Downstairs: Three flagstone steps to front door which opens on to the hall. Single, twin and double bedrooms. The bathroom has under floor heating, shower over bath.

Upstairs: beamed kitchen/dining room well equipped with gas hob and el. oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, automatic washer/dryer. Lovely spacious sitting room with splendid roof beams, sunny windows overlooking courtyard and village green, wood burning stove, comfortable sofas and chairs. TV/DVD, Stereo Radio/CD, and Telephone for incoming calls, WiFi on request. Some toys. A Cot, high chair and stair gate are available. Please bring your own cot linen and bedding. Sorry, no pets

A wonderful situation in a quiet village on the edge of the moors. Brand new "state of the art" kitchen. Wi-fi available. Very helpful caretaker. Lots of books and leaflets available in the living room about local attractions and walks. - Mr Moir, Chelmsford, July 2011
