The ideal village for countryside holidays. Not far from the market town of Pickering in Ryedale, North Yorkshire, one of the most loved holiday regions in England.Newton upon Rawcliffe is a small, quiet and unspoiled village near the thriving market town of Pickering. The village is high on the North York Moors in the National Park, renowned for its great sweeps of heather moorland, abundant wildlife and for its homely stone and pan-tiled farms and cottages.
